This solo draws its inspiration from Jeff Buckley, a young musical prodigy born in 1966 and whose beautiful, fragile melodies resemble a highly faceted object assembled from fine, sharp slivers of glass. Jeff Buckley’s very high, almost feminine, voice, which swings from hysteria to extreme delicacy, was silenced before its time in the muddy waters of Memphis harbour in 1997.
