In "The Tempest", Shakespeare handles, with a virtuosity that has crossed the centuries, magic, mastering the elements of natural and mysterious creatures, unknown land, exile and shipwreck. It draws on the stories of travel and equipped with large colonial expeditions and discovery of another world. This is the basis of which the great dancer Claudio Bernardo (Identificazione di una Donna) and masterful choreographer (the Assault of heaven) takes.
At the artistic direction of the dynamic Bale Teatro Castro Alves, he developed a very personal adaptation, historical, strong and delighted with this classic. Operating a return on the period of colonization and enslavement of Indians and Africans, he delivers us his vision of contemporary Brazil.
Turning to the notions of exploration and fantasy, he built his show as an anthropological study of dance and the history of Brazil, offering a message of redemption to the acts of colonization and oppression experienced by many peoples over the centuries .
A performance at the level of talent of Claudio Bernardo, bathed in emotion, relevance, accuracy and fairness.
